Roger Waters
of The Pink Floyd

'Moslem or Christian, Mullah or Pope
Preacher or poet, who was it wrote
Give any one species, too much rope
And they'll fuck it up'
-'Amused to Death'

Roger Waters was an original member
of Pink Floyd. Roger left the band
in the early eighties while the band
was losing direction and coherency.

One cannot underestimate the impact and
emotional underpinnings of Roger's lyrics
and voice. The driving force of Floyd since
the leaving behind of Barrett, the music
continued it's edgy and political crescendo
with its final conclusion: The Final Cut.

He still performs as solo, touring venues
around the US. Some original Floyd mixed in, but
largely his own fascinating brand of anguish and
rebellion against the Pigs and Dogs.

He was born September 6th, 1947.
