Syd Barrett
of The Pink Floyd

Not many really know what Syd did or is
doing since he was left at home one evening
on the way to a gig.

What's Syd up to? "About 8 tabs a day..."

Syd founded the Floyd and launched them into
a world of psychedelia rivalled by few.
One can see the slow change from psychedelic
rock to emotional, political activism under
the strong guidance of Roger Waters. Evident
in The Wall -- a common example. Gilmour and
the rest of the Band's influence can't be
ignored and is loud and clear in the
recording wonder that is Dark Side of the Moon.

Let's not forget the flowing tribute to Syd in
the creation of Wish You Were Here.

Back to Barret... he dissapeared from sight
in '68 for quite a while, but did pop up from time
to time. There are a variety of solo albums released
of his work throughout the years. Checkout
Madcap Laughs.

He was born on January 6, 1946.
